Resumo:
The work presented here reports the education of young people and adults in Brazil between
2006 a2012 with an emphasis on the process of teaching learning and dropping out of the
Municipal School of Elementary School Papa Paulo VI, located in the city of
Novafloresta-PB. According to the research carried out, a high number of evasion was found
in the EJA modality between the years 2006 to 2012 throughout the country, especially in
E.M.E. F. Pope Paul VI. Being able to identify several problems that cause evasion in EJA.
The age/grade problem is one of the main factors contributing to the high number truancy in
this EJA modality at Escola Municipal Papa Paulo VI as in Brazil in general. It was identified
that the qualification of teachers is still a aggravating factor for evasion that has been
increasing every year and consequently the teaching-learning would not be happening as it
should happen in fact. Changes are needed in this education system so that we can improve
with more positive results in the teaching-learning process of this audience.
