Abstract:
One of the curricular components of the Electrical Engineering Course of the
Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG) [Federal University of Campina
Grande] is the Supervised Internship, which provides the initial contact of the
bachelors with the professional practice. Based on this perspective, this report aims
to synthesize the knowledge acquired during this period, held at the Pro Rectory
Infrastructure of the Univesidade Estadual da Paraíba (PROINFRA/UEPB) [The Pro
Rectory Infrastructure of the State University of Paraíba], in the Engineering and
Architecture Projects Sector at Campina Grande (PB), between May 31, 2018 and
July 27, 2018. It should be emphasized that the main objective of the supervised
internship was to apply the knowledge acquired during this process in the
professional scope; thus, as theoretical concepts used, we can highlight: types of
energies, automatic banks of capacitors, power factor and its correction. Therefore,
authors such as CREDER (2007 [1966]) and MAMEDE FILHO (2013 [1986]) were
the basis of our work. It is important to highlight that, the activities carried out during
this period, focused on the area of electrotechnology, such as the supervision of
works for the development of asbuilt, analysis of the quality of energy in building
electrical installations, software study for electrical installation projects, elaboration
of building electrical installations, study of power factor correction in electrical
installations, among others. With the stage, it can be concluded that the activities
developed provided the learning strategies to be used in professional practice, as
well as demonstrated some challenges that need to be overcome and/or improved
in the exercise of engineering.
