Resumo:
Environmental education is part of environmental management that should be developed as an integrated, continuous and permanent educational practice at all levels and modalities of formal education. Therefore, we discuss the actions of the Agrinho Program between 2017 and 2018 in schools in rural Iguatu, located in the Center Sul Cearense. It aims to enable a scientific production that will help educators in environmental education throughout the municipal school system. The theoretical framework will be a set of literature that deals with environmental education, highlighting concepts, historicity and applicability of EE. This is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach, with a bibliographic and documentary nature, which took place between August and September 2019, and offers an important collection. Data analysis was done to verify the evolution of sustainable practices from the application of environmental education through the Program. Through these actions, one can see environmental education treated from a new perspective, which may represent the production of a sustainable culture. The results will be arranged in chapters that elucidate from historical issues of the consolidation of environmental education in Brazil to the current understanding of the application of EA in formative spaces, such as the program in question in the municipality of Iguatu.
