Resumen:
Over the last few decades, mineral wealth has attracted people and companies interested in
exploring mineralogical potentials. The perspective of cooperatives in mining activity is the
socioeconomic development of the region. However, through of this research, the
precariousness of labor relations in extractive sectors was observed. of the municipality of
Picuí-PB, highlighting the environmental impacts caused by social relations of production.
Despite the wealth found in these lands, the miners and other workers of the sector are, for the
most part, going through financial needs. Since the most of the profits are not applied in the
region. Financial inequality occurs because the workers extract the pegmatites and transfer
them to companies for low amounts; while middlemen and entrepreneurs sell them to third
parties at high prices, thus obtaining high profits. To promote a fair division of the mineral
wealth of the soil Picuense, it is necessary to change the organizational culture, maximizing
the competences of the parties involved in the extraction process. Adopting improvements in
collaboration and oversight it will be possible to build more effective cooperatives. Within
this context, the present work seeks to analyze the contrasts of economic and social order and
the need to spread the knowledge of the miners about the local ore as a source of income,
from the perspective of a solidarity economy In addition to raising awareness in the
community to value wealth more mineralogical in a way that minimizes the environmental
impact and the precariousness of the conditions of work. The focus of this research was some
mining workers, who responded questionnaire, the need to integrate these people in education
was perceived. But for this it is convenient that there are public policies aimed at EJA, which
include the methodology of inclusive teaching and education that ensures the educational
needs of this audience.
