Are frequent the debates about the reading in the basic education, concentrating on the
conception of that event how interaction between readertextauthor.
Alongside this, the
reading the evaluation process is also discussed as a way to meet the purposes of students'
reading proficiency. In this direction, based on the Reference Matrix of Portuguese Language
of the Basic Education Evaluation SystemSaeb,
this research aims to investigate how the
evaluation process, by means instruments guiding and regulators of the learning, can
contribute to promote the reader competence of students the ninth grade of a Municipal
School of Umari Ceará,
with the objective of elaborating a technical material support to the
teacher about reading. To this end, we discussed about reading and the evaluation process of
the in reading competence; we verified if the reading workshops extends the reader
competence of the students; and we present a Manual of instructions about evaluation of the
skills and competences in the reading in the classroom. Refers to a quantitative and qualitative
participant action research based on the concepts of reading for Koch and Elias (2010),
Kleiman (2012), Solé (1998); and in the theories about learning evaluation in the approaches
of Perrenoud (1999), Luckesi (2005) and Hoffman (2003); as well as in the guidelines about
reading in the PCN and in the BNCC (2018). The results of this research revealed that reading
workshops based on the descriptors of the Saeb Matrix raised the level of reading proficiency
reader of the students. Based on the analysis and reflection of these results, we developed a
Support Manual, with eight workshops involving all the skills of the Saeb scale.
