Abstract:
This paper describes the functions performed during the integrated internship that was
developed at Acumuladores Moura, located in the city of Belo Jardim - PE, distant 180
km from the capital Recife. Moura is a Brazilian company, founded in 1957, which
operates in the manufacture of electric accumulators for the automotive, motorcycle,
telecommunications, nautical, logistics, alternative energy and UPS systems. It is
currently the largest company in the electric accumulator industry in Latin America. The
company department in which the internship took place was in Process Engineering,
under the supervision of engineer Bruno Sobel Moura, between March 2019 and
November 2019. Among the Process Engineering sectors, the specific area was the
formation and finishing of batteries. The automotive, motorcycle and electric-powered
battery production sector was known. The skills and knowledge gained during the
electrical engineering course were important for understanding and performing activities
in the lead acid battery manufacturing industry. The tasks developed were characterized
in a very dynamic way: either in the execution of tests in the productive sector, writing
reports with the results, working together with other sectors, developing improvement
projects aligned with the PDCA methodology, creating or changing process technical
standards. to standardize it, ensure that the product meets the specifications needed to
ensure its quality.
