Resumo:
The constant need for the human being to produce places the Solidarity Economy as an
alternative to the competitive and unequal mode of production of capitalism. An economy
focused on the principies of cooperation and self-management is an economy that aims at
social equality. This study discusses the theme by revealing resilience as the innate ability of
the human being to react confidently and consistently to adversity, reacting positively to
unpleasant circumstances, linking this principie with obstacles faced in youth and adult
education. lt is necessary to emphasize the importance of stimulating resilience in the
participants of solidarity enterprises. It is verified that through strategies of resilience it is
possible to observe the worker's valorization. Therefore, it is concluded that, in addition to
trying to be seen in society as equals, these participants suffer from the lack of local incentive
and low demand to buying crafts, as in the case of "Cooperativa Cuiuiú", analyzed in this
study, through the contributions of a community artisan. From this, what is noticed are
workers discouraged by the situation and exhausted with the responsibility of succeeding with
the cooperative to compete with capitalism, independent of profit, according to the artisan.
