Resumo:
The Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) is an important modality of teaching
method that has emerged to meet the needs of people who have not had opportunity
to attend or continue their studies in basic education. Under this theme, solidarity
economy arises, which has been gaining space in the discussions about this modality
of teaching method, in view of their characteristics and possibilities of insertion of the
subjects of the EJA in the working world. Therefore, the main purpose of this work
was to investigate how the EJA, the Solidary Economy and the work, are perceived
by teachers and students of the Municipal School Manoel Cassimiro Gomes,
localized at Coronel Ezequiel - RN. The research was developed through a
descriptive study, which was used as questionnaire data collection by students (19)
and teachers (08) were used as a tool for collecting data, in order to trace the profile
of both, as well as to investigate knowledge and perceptions through questions that
addressed the teaching modality EJA, and the presence of contents geared for the
Solidarity Economy and Work, in the school environment. lt was verified that there is
a lack of knowledge about the Solidarity Economy, both by students and by teachers.
This is dueto the training received by teachers. Furthermore, it was found that one of
the main reasons for young people and adults to return to the classroom is the
expectation of a better job. In this way, the inclusion of themes related to solidarity
economy and work becomes important, as this coordination can cause social,
political, educational and economic changes in the lives of young people and adults.
