Abstract:
This report refers to the supervised internship carried out at the Police Department
from the state of Paraíba, more specifically at the First Regional Policing Command at
the city of Campina Grande. The start date was 2019, September 30th and the end date on
the 2019, December 2nd with a total amount of 182 confirmed hours. The main goal of
the internship was the elaboration of a basic pilot project of a public safety system, which
incorporate intelligent and analytical devices to a monitoring room in order to provide a
quicker and more forceful analysis for police actions and to bring more security to society,
in order to provide social development for the local community. The location chosen to
be the basic model was the city of Monteiro on the state of Paraiba due to social and
economic issues. It is worth mentioning that this project will be taken as a model and
replicated to other cities in Paraiba.
The pilot consists on a series of documents that seek to regulate and advise on the
choice of network architectures, type of network cabling and also the choice of security
devices among other requirements addressed throughout the report.
The completion of the internship provided the student with the opportunity to add
new experience through practical engineering, closing the gap between the theoretical
knowledge obtained at the Federal University of Campina Grande and the market itself.
