Resumo:
The Solidarity Economy manufactures, acquires and commercializes goods in a way that this production
happens cotlectively among ali the actors, allowing acrive participation and providing employment and
income opportunities invotving the social, economic and political dimension. This study aimed to know
tbe practices of Youth and Adult Educarion in a school in the city of Cuité-PB, and actions invotving
Solidary Economy. Twenty students from the Youth and Adult Education modality - EJA, from tbe
Municipal Schoot of Celina de Montenegro, a public school from tbe Municipality o f Cuité -PB
participated in this study. First, the interview was beld at the school, in a space provided by the principal
of the school, before or after classes. The activities and workshops were developed in three moments,
ftrStly the customization of sandals; then the painring workshop; and finally, the exhibition of the
activities. Soon after the work:shops were held, we had a debate about positive and negative aspects o f the
work we had done. From this context, we could obtain infonnation that contributed to this research. with
important considerations and reflections regarding the questions and the objective of the research. Such
experiences are presented as an altemative to expand the possibilities o f new opportunities for work and
income generation of this group, which can arise as actions to stimulate the creation of solidarity
enterprises or associations after the knowledge of data collection and the results acbieved.
