Resumo:
Geometry is a mathematical knowledge that has great importance in
academic and social training of the student, as it enables them to understand the ways,
develop logical reasoning and understanding of the world in which you live, it also serves to
instrument for other areas of knowledge. However, teaching teachers
fundamental end up disregarding the geometric contents. We observe a
owner of geometry content in recent decades in Brazilian schools, and that
although it reflects a general trend, it is more evident in public schools,
because these schools decide on the content program in the different
subjects. Our work will debate on the teaching of geometry in the design of
teachers from the public network of Barra de Santa Rosa-PB. In the grounds of this
work we use the PCN's (1998), authors such as Pavanello (1993) and Lorenzato
(1995). We sought to reflect on how geometry has been approached and
what are the main resources being used in the school environment, and if the
teachers use teaching theories to facilitate teaching practice in this field.
