Résumé:
This report describes the main activities performed by the student Rafael Mateus Carvalho de
Paiva, from the Electrical Engineering course at the Federal University of Campina Grande,
during his internship at ALUMAR, located in São Luís, state of Maranhão. The company
operates in the aluminum market and its industrial complex has the refinery, reduction and port
areas. The student was assigned to the port area, where he was part of the automation and
electrical maintenance engineering team, under the management of senior electrical engineer
José Igor de Oliveira. During the internship, the student had the opportunity to develop various
training activities, in which he worked directly with Allen Bradley/Rockwell programmable
logic controllers and variable frequency drives, scada system development, automation projects
in machines and equipment’s, as well as attend human development workshops. The completion
of the internship allowed the student to have a broad view of the industrial and corporate
environment, allowing him to develop in a technical and personal way.
