Abstract:
This current work aims to describe the functions performed during the integrated internship
developed at Acumuladores Moura S.A., located in the city of Belo Jardim - PE, 180
km away from the capital Recife. Moura is a Brazilian company, founded in 1957, which
operates in the manufacture of electric accumulators for the automotive, motorcycle,
telecommunications, nautical, logistics, alternative energy and No-Break systems. It is
currently the largest company in the electric accumulator sector in Latin America. The
department of the company where the internship took place was at the Basic Management
Unit 09 (UGB-09), focused on the Unit 01 Formation and Finishing, aiming quality and
process optimization. The skills and knowledge acquired during the electrical engineering
course were important to understand and perform activities in the lead-acid battery
industry. The tasks developed were characterized in a very dynamic way: be it in the
execution of tests in the productive sector, preparing reports with the results, working
together with other sectors, developing improvement projects aligned with the PDCA
methodology, creating or changing technical standards of the process productive in order
to standardize it, ensuring that the product meets the necessary specifications to mantain
its quality.
