Abstract:
The present work presents the main activities carried out by Eduardo Silva Fernandes, during the supervised
internship held at the headquarters of the company Estruturas Metálicas Delrey, at Rua Cônsul Joseph
Noujaim Habib Nacad, 1185, located in Catolé in Campina Grande -PB, effective on the 25th from March
2021 to May 28, 2021. The activities performed on the internship were on the energy efficiency of the
industry, with electrical projects being developed for offices with automation, making corrections on the
electrical network with phase balance in the manufacturing sector, thus improving the quality of the local
electricity and implementing a photovoltaic solar project for the industry. For the development of such actions
on the company, voltage and current measurements were carried out and daily monitoring on the reforms and
the needs of the factory so that it was suitable for its access to electricity. For the photovoltaic solar energy
system, an economic study was carried out on the financial return of the industry and the development of the
electrical project so that it can implement its energy efficiency project. The automation project was developed
thinking also about the practicality of the office and about points such as the floor that were previously on
common connections, needing to be turned on and off in person and manually, which is often not possible at
appropriate times, resulting in a consumption of unnecessary energy. Load balancing was crucial for the
industry, as the problem already existed and the industry lost a few hours of the day due to equipment
shutdown due to the poor dimensioning of the cabling and protections. The internship totaled 250 hours and
allowed me to gain experience in the job market and assimilate content studied in the classroom.
