Abstract:
In this undergraduate thesis are evaluated the voltage levels at the common coupling point
of an electricity distribution network with variation in consumer demand after the insertion
of photovoltaic distributed generation. The analysis is performed through a simulation of a
model on an electricity distribution network model with the presence of photovoltaic distributed
generation based on a real distribution network. The computer simulation program employed
was OpenDSS. The simulations of the modeled distribution network were carried out with and
without the photovoltaic distributed generation, in order to analyze its impact on the network.
The results from the case study after the insertion of the photovoltaic distributed generation
showed that there was a violation of the maximum voltage limit established by ANEEL. The
overvoltage, which can damage electrical equipment, generate reverse power flow and impair
power quality, occurred at times with high power injected into the network by the photovoltaic
distributed generation in association with the low consumption of the loads.
