Resumo:
The economic and environmental concern regarding the conscious consumption
of electric energy in Brazilian industries is increasingly evident, since natural resources
are known and as needed, they are always tending to increase more and more. According
to the Energy Research Company (EPE) considering the statistical yearbook of electricity
for 2019, which it considers as the base year 2018, the sector that consumes the most
electricity in Brazil is the industrial sector with 35.7%, that is, one of the biggest fixed
expenses an industry has is with electricity, the more the industry can save while
increasing the volume of production, the greater its profit. Therefore, in order for this
profit to grow, energy costs must be reduced. This economy creates new investment
possibilities and causes the industry to develop more and more, an increase in production,
consolidating itself in the market and increasing sales. Thus, the study of energy
efficiency becomes something indispensable for the good development of a culture of
production maximized with the lowest possible environmental and economic impacts.
This work starts some of the main measures that can be carried out with the objective of
obtaining energy efficiency in a company, based on the results of studies of the main
national authorities when dealing with energy efficiency. In addition, a case study carried
out at the company Acumuladores Moura S.A. and its impact dimensions are presented.
Finally, they are important as the main challenges encountered during their
implementation.
