Résumé:
Forage production in the semiarid region is a constant necessity, especially during periods of drought, when water resources are scarce. A strategy to increase forage support in semi-arid regions is the production of cultivated pastures managed by controlled irrigations and adequate fertilization. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the growth and biomass production of Brachiaria sp. submitted to different levels of available water in the soil and doses of nitrogen fertilization. The experiment was conducted using a randomized complete block design in a 2 x 4 factorial scheme, with four replications, two levels of water available (50 and 100%) and four nitrogen doses (control, 100.0, 200.0 and 400.0 mg.dm-3). During the conduction of the experiment, plant height number of leaves, shoot diameter, number of tillers relative water content and shoot dry matter / root ratio were evaluated. Nitrogen doses of 175 mg dm3 provide the highest height of the Pakistani grass plants in the available water slides of 100 and 50%. The 100% available water blade provides the highest height, number of tillers and dry biomass production of the Pakistani grass. The use of the available water 50% slide is conditioned by reductions in growth and biomass between 46.52 and 46.88%.
