The commercialization of ornamental flowers in the northeastern region has been growing annually, generating income for producers in the region. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of doses of potassium silicate under the growth of ornamental sunflower cultivated in two water regimes. The experiment was conducted at Rolando Enrique Rivas Castellón experimental farm belonging to the CCTA / UFCG, Pombal-PB Campus. In which ornamental sunflower plants, SAKATA ® 'Sunflower F1 Sunbright' cultivars were submitted to two irrigation slides, 50% and 100% of ETr, and five doses of potassium silicate (K2SiO3) (0; 4.4, 6.6, 8.8 ml L-1) via foliar application. The experimental design was randomized blocks in a 2x5 factorial scheme (irrigation slides and doses of potassium silicate), totaling 10 treatments, with four replications, that is, 16 plants per plot, totaling 640 plots. For this the plants were evaluated at 60 days after transplanting, as for stem height, stem diameter, leaf number, absolute growth rate of stem height, relative growth rate of stem height, absolute growth rate of stem diameter, relative growth rate of stem diameter, dry stem biomass, dry leaf biomass, dry inflorescence phytomass, dry shoot biomass. The application of potassium silicate promoted increases in the growth of ornamental sunflower plants. The estimated doses of 7.5 ml L-1 and 6.0 ml L-1 promoted the attenuation of the effect of the water regimes corresponding to 50% and 100% of Etr, respectively, on the ornamental sunflower.
