Domestic violence is a cruel and inhuman form of violence against women, it is in your home that most often happens to the aggression and after beating sessions and humiliation the victim has to sleep with the enemy, at the mercy the external and internal violence, which, if not kill, cause internal wounds of which in most cases are never healed. This study aimed to characterize the profile of domestic violence practiced against women attending a reference center in the city of Cajazeiras, Paraíba during the years 2010 to 2016. It is a documentary research, exploratory and retrospective with a quantitative approach. We analyzed 331 records of service, of which 255 constitute domestic violence, where the profile was of women of reproductive age, with incomplete primary education, white, married, household and children. Most do not have disabilities and or other disorders. Regarding the violence suffered the partner was the main aggressor, being the residence of the principal place of occurrence of psychological violence followed by physical and moral. Therefore, the prevention and combating domestic violence is a task of the most complex and requires a public policy articulation of different services in an integrated network of care for women living in situations of violence.
