The present research aims to analyze the contributions of Programa Institucional de Bolsa de Iniciação à Docência [Institutional Scholarship for Teaching Initiation Program] (PIBID) for the valorization of initial teacher training in Geography. The research was carried out with two teams of PIBID of Geography of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), of the Training Center of Teachers (CFP) of Cajazeiras PB, that participated in the Program during the year 2017. Both teams developed activities in two schools of the same city: the school Professor Crispim Coelho and the school Cecilia Estolano Meireles. The general objective of the research is to analyze the pedagogical knowledge of Geography for the formation of PIBID teachers of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) of Campus Cajazeiras PB, situated in the municipality of Cajazeiras, intermediate region of SouzaCajazeiras. The search was carried during the year 2018, out from the case study, with bibliographical and documentary research, and questionnaire as instrument of data collection. The interest in the research was from the participation in the Program and experience of the issues related to initial training and school education, which aroused interest in presenting the PIBID as a policy that contributed and still contributes to the solution of many problems related to these spheres of Education in the Country. We sought to investigate whether there were PIBID contributions to the pedagogical knowledge in Geography of the ID scholars.
