Résumé:
The objective of this work identify and analyze the environmental impacts caused by the
implementation of a sanitary embankment in the county of Itaporanga-PB. The methodology consisted of bibliographical research, on-sites visits, photodocumentation and the use of geoprocessing tools and evaluation of environmental impacts. The activities of the project were listed for the phases of planning, installation, operation, deactivation and closing. A simplified environmental diagnosis of the study area was elaborated. By evaluation methods like, Ad Hoc, Check Lists and Interaction Matrix methods have been identified and classified, in a qualitative and quantitative way, by means of environmental impact, highlighting all the significant impacts. Subsequently, environmental control measures and environmental plans and programs were proposed. Based on the results, it was verified that the activities that presented the most significant environmental impacts were: deforestation, cuts and landfills, earthworks and preparation of the waste disposal site, and that such actions affect the environmental components: soil, flora, wildlife, water, atmospheric air and the population, respectively. Among the environmental control measures indicated, the following should be contrasted: The limitation of deforestation only to necessary areas; preserve all equipment and machinery in good ways of operation; use PPE's (personal protective equipment); recompose the vegetation after demobilization of the construction site; recover all the deforested areas at the end of the project; social communication program, wildlife management and monitoring program, land use and occupancy program, noise level reduction program, environmental management program, solid waste management plan and environmental education program.
