Fish is considered one of the most suitable foods for school feeding, as it has
excellent nutritional properties, being one of the main sources of animal protein. The
inclusion of fish in the diet aims to encourage healthy eating habits, raise awareness
and promote food education for students. The research was carried out with 14
students from the 8th year of elementary school and 21 students from the 1st grade of
high school at the José Vitorino de Medeiros State Elementary and High School, in the
city of Sossego-PB, emphasizing the importance of fish for food. healthy, through
dynamic methodologies using the ludic with a focus on Nutrition Education. At first, a
pre-evaluation questionnaire was applied to identify students' knowledge about food
education, then the project was presented to the classes and teachers, after which play
activities were continued (building food pyramids, models, participation in the school's
pedagogical week, tasting of fish-based products and gymkhana) after the activities
were carried out, a post-evaluation questionnaire of the developed actions was carried
out. The activities were published on the educational blog produced by the students
participating in the project. The activities carried out and the construction of the
educational blog provided students with new knowledge about the importance of food
education, sharing the information obtained with the community in which they are
inserted about the importance of including fish in food. Taking into account the
observation during the meetings, it was possible to conclude that the project had an
important meaning in the lives of students, noting at the end of the research how much
educational actions are relevant to promote healthy eating.
