Resumo:
The 1988 Federal Constitution ensures healthy food for the population as a social
and fundamental human rights. In the scope of public education, a space vulnerable to the nutritional needs of students, public policies aim to supply the nutritional deficiency of children and adolescents in overcoming the food lack of families, requiring healthy eating practices and compatible with the functional requirements of the learner. Food
supplementation has a contribution in PNAE, aiming at attend 15% of the students' nutrition. The present essay has objected to understand the fundamental rights to
food and the nutritional significance in the public school realm. The research was based on the review of periodicals and normatives inherent to the PNAE and the nutritional influence on the students, with emphasis in the city of Triunfo-PB. The datas of 2016 indicate the Country with about 27.5 million students in primary education. In Paraíba, there are 587 thousand in 2015. In Triunfo-PB, the index is 1,219 met; Food items are purchased in the region by the Secretary of Education. It is observed that the menu partially serves the PNAE; Official data are poorly transparent. There is a need for changes in the management of resources, food acquisition and attendance to the menu, in order to guarantee the food security of students.
