Resumo:
The mitigation of the impacts resulting from the episodes of floods in urbanized areas,
seeking to reduce risks and losses, is made from the implementation of measures and
works of rainwater drainage infrastructure. This work aimed to make a study of the
urban drainage system referring to the commercial area of the city of Malta-PB, in view
of the fact that the city is growing more and more in its urban territory and still does not
have any efficient system of rainwater flow. The main purpose of a microdrainage
system is the collection and disposal of water from the rains, removing them from the
streets and directing them to the rain galleries, which in turn will direct them to the
natural deposits of waters, preventing unwanted accumulations, damage to structures,
proliferation of diseases, promoting safety to the traffic of vehicles on the roads and
passers-by in order to avoid or reduce risks and damage. For the development of this
work, we characterized the current rainwater drainage system and the identification of
the form of occupation, using QGIS 2.14.1, Google Earth Pro, satellite image and data
obtained from IBGE and tif type image file and QGIS tool called TauDEN and
AutoCAD 2018. For the analysis of project rainfall, the equation of intense rainfall of
the municipality was used, obtained through the statistical analysis of annual daily
maximum rainfall adjusted the gumbel probability distribution and the breakdown of
rainfall values estimated for different values of Return periods and duration, which later
constituted a system of nonlinear equations resulting in the estimation of the parameters
of the rain equation. The analysis of the drainage system was made using the Rational
method to estimate the project rain and the hydraulic scans to determine the capacity of
the gutters. Two critical points were identified in Malta's commercial area, requiring the
implementation of a microdrainage system.
