Resumo:
The current scenario of the intense mobility of capital has been accompanied by a growing displacement of international population. The social transformations experienced in the last decades have made the phenomenon of migration and international emigration more complex, under new logic, in particular by the expansion of the world market and the dispersion of industry and goods and services and the contemporary migration of students at a global level. Spatial mobility for study purposes is a historical process and manifests itself in a variety of ways, depending on agreements between the countries or institutions involved and its reflections are felt in all the dimensions in which it lives. In this context, among the various factors (economic, political, social, cultural and educational), the purpose of this study is to understand the dynamics of the insertion of African students in the Brazilian job market after graduation from Brazilian public universities (UFCG, UFPB and UFPE). Methodologically the work was developed in five sections. Initially, a historical contextualization was conducted on the phenomenon of globalization, a revision on the issue of contemporary international migrations and spatial mobility in the global context, in which new trends and challenges have emerged from the focus of theorists and specialists on the topic of migration and the job market. This is justified by the fact that globalization has deep relations with human migrations, in particular with the issue of international migration, a common situation in a world that the evolution of technology makes it seem smaller and more accessible. This study discussed the historical process of international mobility and, in particular, migration to Brazil. This international mobility of individuals has become a phenomenon of fundamental importance globally, both for countries of destination and of origin or transit. The fourth section proposes to analyze the characteristics of the worker’s insertion in the Brazilian formal and informal job market from the 21st century. Racism and prejudice have entered the picture, so that the two concepts directly influence the process of insertion into the job market. Finally, an analysis of the trajectory and experience of students/ migrants in the Brazilian job market. The study concludes by showing that it is a population that is part of a contemporary global trend of international migration with the purpose of study.
