This research has as its theme the (re) configuration of Nursery Monitors in the constitutive documents of Early Childhood Education, having been investigated from the following question: Is the Nursery Monitor a support professional (technicaladministrative worker) or teacher? In this sense, its general objective was to understand how the (re) configuration of the Nursery Monitor for Early Childhood can take place, in the municipality of Cajazeiras its general objective was to become its specific objectives: to map in educational legislation and normative acts of national character what is brought up about Early Childhood Education and the foundation of the activities of its teaching professionals; to identify in the PoliticalPedagogical Projects of educational institutions aimed at children and other legislation at the municipal level, legal devices that can address the problem under study; and, to point out possible solutions that can support decisionmaking by political and educational authorities with a view to improving the quality of public basic education in our municipality and in Brazil. Its methodology made use of a survey of the set of laws and normative acts of national and local nature that provide legal and pedagogical support to the structures that are built in Early Childhood Education in Cajazeiras PB and the content analysis of the conceptions brought by this documentary body. , from the operationalization of thematic analysis and enunciation techniques under the focus of Bardin (1977). As a result, we were able to identify a series of themes and statements capable of enabling the (re) framing / (re) configuration of the professionals under study in the legislation that deals with the valorization of Education Professionals within the scope of the respective municipality, such as: daycare center, lay teacher, early childhood education teacher, minimum qualification, legislation, normative acts, Novo FUNDEB, education professionals, career plan, classroom, “educate and care”, quality in education, all linked to this stage of teaching .
