Resumo:
This work deals with overcoming school failure from the perspective of going beyond an understanding of multiple approaches to which its causes are attributed, and then reflecting on possible ways to achieve school success. Identifying elements that contribute to achieving school success, even in the face of such a challenging reality, is the reason for this work. This investigation was guided by the following question: What factors contributed to the improvement of educational indicators that showed increases in the year 2019 compared to the 2017 results. in the municipal school system of São Domingos - Paraíba. Theoretical support was sought in Xypas (2014) and (2017); Xypas; Silva and Nascimento (2014); Libâneo (1990) and (2014); Pimenta e Lima (2012); Consenza and Guerra (2011); Forgiarini and Silva (2007); Lahire (2004); Patto (1999) , among others. The methodology used was a field research, with a qualitative approach, carried out in a virtual way through the sound capture of teachers' narratives with teachers in a municipal school in São Domingos-PB, through semi-structured interviews. In addition to a bibliographic survey to support the analysis of data produced in the investigation. The analysis of the results was supported by Bardin (2016). in the research carried out, it was found that continuing education, teaching autonomy, management support with teachers and families, as well as the valuing of education by parents, teacher and student motivation, the positive influences of teachers on school life, or , still, affectivity in the teaching-learning process are possibilities to overcome or minimize school failure.
