Resumo:
This paper is meant to develop the ways of social interaction between organized group of
soccer fans in Campina Grande, Paraíba, focused on the soccer group FacçãoJovem. We set point at analyzing the different ways of interaction between members of this group through behavior pattern analysis. The actions (physical or symbolical) of this group make possible several formulations and popular prejudice. Being a member of an organized group of soccer fans means to belong to a lifestyle. Thus, some nervousness have emerged, regarded to the opinion around the behavior of individuals that belong to this kind of group. Several dissertations were elaborated in different regions of Brazil and in several western countries, however, we believe that this is a pertinent matter and their lifestyle can be analyzed in a closer approach. This work set basis on observation on participants at stadiums, in the group headquarters and in the streets, where we interviewed members and non-members of FacçãoJovem. During the research, we sought reference in authors such as Michel Maffersoli and Georg Simmel, considering these organized groups as urban tribes, what lead us to the junction between new (through access to technologies and the fast process of urbanization) and the ancient (regarded to the emotional involvement and the feeling of belonging to a clan). It is our interest to comprehend the patterns of social interaction between members of FJ, through their relation with symbols and mobilized values with the soccer firm and how this group can be considered an emotional community, mobilized by this feeling of belonging to a group and, simultaneously, conflict with rival groups.
