The business plan is an important tool used to limit possible errors in the planning phase, and
to check whether the business is viable. It is a fundamental tool for the success of a company,
as it allows the entrepreneur to have a broader view of their business. Thus, this study aims to
develop a business plan for the opening of a Shrimp Distributor in the city of Santa Luzia do
Sabugi. During the development of the study, the descriptive research method was used with a
qualitative approach, in addition to documentary research and market research for data
collection and economicfinancial
and marketing information. A market research aimed to
identify competing types and consumers. Financial projections were prepared to identify
whether the project is viable, developing financial accounts for 1 year and 3 months of
operation, in addition to the analysis of relevant indicators that allow for the visualization of
the future and possible situation of the company. The results of the analyzes demonstrate the
viability of the business as well as the sharp growth in consumption of this product in the
country, presenting positive opportunities for the development of the business. Finally, it is
considered that the present study has achieved all the expected objectives and the opening of
the distributor proves to be viable and profitable, and the entrepreneur will obtain a return on
investment in a period of approximately 15 months.
