Parcerias na construção de um novo semiárido: ONG's e agricultores familiares no Sertão da Paraíba.

Abstract

The proposal for this scientific work is based on the axes of agroecology, through family farming in the countryside, on deep ecology as a systemic view, and on the concept of earthly identity as a link for discussing the relationship between man and nature in the semiarid region. The objective was to describe the link between the insertion of the family farmer in the activities developed by non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in the practice of family farming in the semi-arid region of Paraíba in the process of building the ecological or systemic paradigm. Identify the relationship of earthly identity in the community under study, through an experience stage and epistemological discussion as a structuring of environmental preservation and conservation actions. Through the work carried out by environmental NGOs of family farming in the semiarid region, it was possible to interpret the performance and importance of these institutions, as well as helping to foster the idea of 'living with the semiarid'. The methodological process took place in documentary analyzes of the NGOs, in reports of technical experience of the agents of these organizations and in Interdisciplinary Internship of Experience (EIV), by the qualitative tools of questionnaires and active observation. It was possible to verify the change in the environmental conceptions of family farmers through the intervention of NGOs, acquiring an agroecological basis and living with the semi-arid region, breaking prejudices that had been founded for years. Through EIV, immersion in daily life was obtained and through this it was possible to understand the dynamics of living with the semiarid and its relations with the environment. The dialogue of knowledge is relevant for understanding and affirming environmental sustainability measures. We conclude that the role of these NGOs is an important factor in the conservation and preservation of the socio-biodiversity of this region, through awareness linked to the experiences and experiences of the social actors assisted. The scenario of living with the semi-arid reality presents itself in changes in conceptions and behaviors about the environment in the relationship between man and nature. And the relationship between man and nature is translucent in the man of the countryside and that, the more humanity moves away from its integral nature, the more mechanized it becomes.
