Estudo jurídico-comparativo: a cobrança pelo uso da água nos perímetros públicos irrigados do Sertão da Paraíba – PISG e DPIVAS.

Abstract

As a result of population growth, there is also a need for greater consumption of natural resources. The fact of the poor distribution of water and the unrestrained use of water intensifies the conflict of interests. The charge for the Use of Water Resources is one of the management tools of the National Water Resources Policy instituted by Law nº 9.433/97. The sertaneja region polarized by the Municipality of Sousa, located in the interior of the State of Paraíba, counts on two districts (perimeters) of irrigation. The general objective of this research is to compare, through documentary analysis and field research, the collection by the use of the water in the familiar agriculture in the Irrigated Perimeter São Gonçalo and Irrigated Irrigation Perimeter District Várzeas de Sousa. As for the methodology, the study was characterized as exploratory and descriptive, field and documentary, being the data analyzed by analytical description and legal hermeneutics. The irrigators surveyed are aware of the importance of charging for the use of water, however, the current opinion is that such a process is done fairly and that water is supplied regularly
