Résumé:
The present work, is intended to an analysis of the application of the Penal Execution Law (LEP) within the prisons and the impact on the inmate's progression regime. researches about the penalty of the penalty in the resocializing context and its real effectiveness in the prisons of Sousa PB. Starting with a brief study of the historical and significant evolution of the pen. Soon after, we will approach the prison systems and their main models, the sentence serving regimes, the institute of regime progression and regression, COVID19
and the measures resulting from it. Later, there is a presentation of the prison units, for which this work is intended, about their structure and the projects that they are, making a parallel to what is determined by the LEP regarding the dignity of punishment. The present monographic work will use the inductive empirical method, interpreting the general data collected and based on the experience lived during the participation in an extension project carried out in the interior of the Agricultural Penal Colony of Sertão in SousaPB.
And at the end we present, based on the analysis of data collected from the units, we observe the impacts on the application of progression to inmates and its effects.
