which are organically linked to it. technological practices, in turn, are incorporated, denied or recreated by the farmers studied, based on evaluation criteria related to the preservation of land and the economic and social reproduction of the family unit. Such practices, when expressed from everyday logic
of the studied group, have been constituted in strategies of survival that are constructed, not without ambiguities and tensions, inserted in the own idiosyncrasy of the small producer. Finally, this study points to the challenges to be faced
by the trade union movement in order to accumulate discussions and to incorporate into the content of its strategic actions the political character of the technology in the peasant production process. The reference group of informants in the field research were farmers organized around the rural trade union opposition of Lagoa Seca-Paraíba, with which we conducted a participatory research process that guided all research activities of the reality of the small producers considered and their actions around the rescue of the political role of their union.
