Resumen:
For centuries the teacher has had to adapt to the transformations and changes in society in order
to adapt to the new generations of students; these changes have never been so intense. From the
1970s on, in the context of the Third Industrial Revolution and, above all, the Information
Revolution, we have experienced great changes in society, especially in the way we started to
communicate. The emergence of the computer and the internet has enabled great advances for
society, especially in the area of education; the technological apparatus and the internet have
become a great tool for learning at school. With the advance of the new Coronavirus, the cause
of the disease called COVID19,
it caused a major crisis, affecting several areas of society. In
education it became necessary to adopt remote teaching, as a measure of social distance.
Remote classes have become a challenge for all educational institutions. The present study aims
to identify the main challenges and difficulties of teaching practice on the context of the covid19
pandemic at the high school level. The qualitative work was developed through the
application of an online questionnaire with open and closed questions. Six (6) high school
teachers of the humanities area of the public schools Senador José Gaudêncio and Escola
Técnica Cidadã Integral Inácio Antonino, located in the city of Serra Branca in Cariri, Paraiba.
The lack of investment in education hinders the access to the internet not only for the teachers
but also for the students, making it difficult to hold remote classes and hindering the interest of
the students. In conclusion, it is necessary that the family and the educational networks act
more, as well as the government and the state invest in technological resources, in order to
provide more quality and comfort for the remote teaching to generate less negative
consequences in the learning process.
