Résumé:
In this work we realized an analysis that how the Mathematics Secondary’s textbooks motivate the study of exponential and logarithmic functions, and issues contextualized
as suggested activities to be performed by students. The justification of the formulas that
provide the value of magnitude an earthquake in Richter scale, the pH of substances and
the measurement of loudness in decibels are presented. We also bring suggestions of issues contextualized created for us that can be used by teachers in their classroom activities. The analyzes that we perform can serve like an educational tool, with regard to good contextualization or like support for teacher training, because for to qualify a contextualization like inadequate, we must be grounded in mathematical knowledge and other areas of knowledge, necessaries for our argument be convincing.
