Abstract:
The new corona virus pandemic imposed restrictions on the most diverse productive activities in society, due to the need for social isolation to contain the virus's advance, which resulted in the need for adaptation by companies, especially small ones. Thus, the objective of this study was to identify innovation strategies used by micro and small companies to meet the requirements and restrictions of the Covid-19 pandemic in the Municipality of Paraná – RN. The methodological procedures were based on the application of a questionnaire to identify, based on Freeman and Soete (2008), which innovation strategies micro and small companies have been using in this pandemic moment. It was concluded that companies use the most diverse strategies according to the model proposed by Freeman and Soete (2008) and the most used at the moment are offensive, defensive and opportunity strategies.
