Resumo:
This study presents the importance of spatial dynamics of trade and services in the
neighborhood of Malvinas in the city of Campina Grande - PB. specifically in the avenue
access roads Francisco Lopes de Almeida and Rua das Juremas, that over time has become
a sub-center. This research aimed to: highlight the commercial diversity of the locality,
which makes the space studied economically representative to the neighborhood and
the city, and verify the possibilities and the positive character that the services and trades
installed in these pathways generate to the local residents and surrounding neighborhoods.
The research it comes to a case study, based on bibliographical reviews in the areas of
Urban Geography, Geography of Trade and Consumption and upon the neighborhood of
Malvinas, as well as visits to areas of study, count business premises of the roads
studied, questionnaire application, with the owners and customers of the establishments that
coexist in this space, and capture images of the locality. At this context, it is noticeable the
importance of the sub-center studied to the neighborhood and the city, as it exerts a
sociospatial influence they, as of socio-economic relations and according to the need of the
population, modifies the urban space.
