Résumé:
Currently, the school has been the scene of great change in the face of new technologies. The
education professionals have to develop your competences to accompany this technological
advancement. These teaching tools are increasingly in competition with the teachers and if
they will not follow, they will become poorer knowledge. Given this reality, the objective of
this research was to analyze the use of new technologies and the competence of teachers in
teaching and learning Geography in public schools in the municipality of Remigio-PB. The
specific objectives were: a) identify how new technologies are used in teaching geography; b)
list the technological equipment available to teachers of geography; c) diagnose the
difficulties faced by teachers in the use of new technologies. Therefore, a literature review
was conducted a survey on the availability of devices used as teaching material in schools
studied, and then was applied an online questionnaire containing and open-ended questions
about the competence of Geography teachers on new technologies. As analysis of the data
obtained from the survey, it can be concluded that the results point to the need for better
professional training of teachers in their competences towards the use of new technologies on
the teaching-learning link in Geography.
