Resumen:
After the inauguration of the Integrated Terminal Passengers (Integration), with only a snack
bar inside, located outside the points stops the bus, there were several informal traders inside
and its surroundings; however, it appears that public officials who manage this terminal do
not accept its existence, ban registered in terms of use of that space. Due to this fact, we tried
to develop this research to investigate this possible coexistence, conflicts and contradictions.
Therefore, this article aims to analyze the strategies and tactics of informal trade in the
Integrated Passenger Terminal (TIP) of Campina Grande-PB, to identify conflicts and the
appreciation of the existence of this trade. We used the everyday description lived, the
references on informal trade, data collection, obtained from administrative information and
the public transport sector, in addition to terminal users, using 32 interviews and
questionnaires given to merchants and managers, trying to identify their concerns on trade
since the appearance of TIP. We found that there are several types of traders, based on their
temporal existence, formality and informality of work, as well as their frequencies and
seasonal variations. As finisher point, a reading will be built on the importance of informal
traders, since it is noticeable growth in, out and around the TIP.
