of products and services, where there is interaction between vendor and consumer, facilitating purchases,
streamlining the space and local economy. The present article proposes to conduct an analysis of the fair in
the City of Alagoa Nova, seeking to identify the transformations and permanence occurring from the new
ways of trading. Throughout time, the fair has always been a space for consumption and leisure, with
historical aspects coming from the foundation of the city. Because it has been a commercial practice
exercised outdoors, it contributes for the area to receive flows of people and goods from other neighboring
areas, seeking to identify the possible transformations in the sector. Therefore, to accomplish the research
there were some technical and methodological procedures, such as bibliographic reviews, interviews and
questionnaires application with customers and vendors, surveys and analysis of the fair trade data.
