Resumo:
The housing consists of a basic human need and a right recognized by national and international documents. In turn, a significant portion of the population of many municipalities do not have this right guaranteed due to the characteristics of the capitalist system and although many housing programs have been created, this problem has not been solved in Brazil. In this sense, this research aims to assess the Minha Casa Minha Vida Program (PMCMV) in the city of Campina Grande through the Residencial Vila Nova da Rainha II analysis. As methodological procedure started from a literature search. Next, we performed an analysis on the municipal level through some categories of analysis proposed by Shimbo (2015) and applied questionnaires based on the methodological framework developed by Rolnik et al. (2015). Finally, we systematized the data and prepare thematic maps. At the end of the survey found that the Residencial Vila Nova da Rainha II is in line with some international guidelines, but also plays some problems that are found in various projects of PMCMV in other municipalities. For this reason, we hope that this work oportunize new reflections about the importance of ensuring the right to adequate housing.
