Oil and natural gas production in onshore and offshore fields characterized by
multiphase flow in pipelines and pipelines. Every oil and natural gas production process
is subject to the risk of accidents, causing high or irreparable damage to nature and
economy. There is a need to identify leaks in an oil and gas transport pipeline, due to
the increasing rigor of environmental standards and agencies. In this sense, this work
aims to study the numerical simulation of multiphase, transient and nonisothermal
flow
in pipelines with coupled curved curves and leaks, used in the commercial software
ANSYSCFX
® 15.0. Pressure, velocity and volumetric fraction distributions and
pressure drop for singlephase
(oil), twophase
(oilwater)
and threephase
(oilwater
and gas) flows analyzed were. The results indicate that the radius of curvature had
greater in the following results the pressure field, the velocity field and the pressure
drop. The type of flow had greater production in the evaluation of pressure drop and
distribution of the volumetric fraction.
