Abstract:
This work aims to analyze the use of digital technologies in this pandemic period in
remote classes in some Integral Citizen Schools (ECI) in Paraíba and the need for
teacher training for such use. From this objective, the following specific objectives
unfold: to identify the inequalities in the use of digital technologies by Brazilians; verify
how ECI teachers are using digital technologies in remote education and understand
how training for teachers in state schools in Paraíba has been taking place during the
pandemic period. For that, we use both qualitative and quantitative methodology,
through questionnaires sent to teachers online through Google Forms. Thus, a dialogue
was held with 25 (twenty-five) teachers from integral citizen schools in the State of
Paraíba. The data obtained showed some difficulties faced by them in the special
teaching regime, such as the lack of technological devices and the absence of a good
preparation for them to be able to adapt to that form of teaching. Therefore, there is a
need for greater investment in educational public policy in training moments for
education professionals, especially in this emergency period.
