At the university it is common for there to be an excess of academic activities, which may take more than one shift, a factor that can be aggravated by professional issues, if the student needs to exercise some work activity, as well as if they live in another municipality, other than he studies. As a result, meals are affected by the ingestion of food without nutritional quality, by the lack of time to eat the meal calmly or by the financial condition, limiting the consumption of low-cost foods. Thus, due to the lack of information about health promotion offered to university students by UFCG, we discussed the possibility of the development of diseases such as obesity and overweight due to poor diet or lack of healthy habits. Thus, this research aims to demonstrate the eating habits of undergraduate students in Geography at UFCG. The specific objectives were: a) to know the personal factors that lead to poor diet; b) identify the student's routine and; c) talk about the geographical space and the profile of the UFCG university student. To meet these objectives, this work was constituted in a quantitative qualitative, exploratory research, which used fieldwork in the application of fifty-five forms to university students of the Geography course at UFCG - Campina Grande campus. As main results it was noticed that the students have many academic activities for the short time available, in different shifts, as a consequence they eat fast meals, of low nutritional content, with excess of fats, sometimes replacing important meals of the day and that in their In homes these habits change in the type of food eaten and in the time the meal is performed. Thus, quality of life and health promotion for university students is not as relevant as the fulfillment of academic activities, in view of the lack of knowledge demonstrated by the participants about actions that promote health in the university, which may be a factor for the emergence of cases of overweight or obesity due to lack of healthy eating.
