Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze the use of TICs on Geography teaching, starting from proposals with the use of some of these tools to digital natives on the technical-scientificinformational era. The methodology is based on social research, using the review of literature, using authors such as: Milton Santos, Jacques Ellul, Kenski, João Mattar, Pontuschka and others. Also the analysis of some technological instruments like electronic games such as: Pharaoh, Sin City; and the news passed through television about the attacks in France. It was verified that the technical ways and mainly the technical-scientific-informational have been expanding from the market’s logic and that there is a mismatch on schools among people who use these equipments because the digital natives use them on their daily life, however, the majority of the teachers are not prepared to use them. That is why the necessity of searching for new resources aiming a better formation for the Geography teacher and of the construction of spatial argument with the use of TICs and with the active participation of digital natives. Nevertheless it must have precaution for the use of these technologies, because they have been operationalized through the capital logic and the Geography teaching, such an important area for the world reading, it needs to be done in a more critical, enjoyable and constructive way.
