Abstract:
Vie call power some relation that is exerciced by a social class above another classes. There is no power in a vacuum, but only in rela tion to some one else. It is delegated by central power or at estadual level. Power is relational and it connot be possessed in it self. A power relations ship can exist only if one the parties can threaten to invoke sanction: power it the process of affecting policies of others with the help of severe deprivations for mon conformity with the policies intended. Generally we say that power is based on wealth, but this it is not sufficient. The power is legitimated at other society levels, such as: the cultural, the political etc. We analize the reasons, the combined, lead the"coronelismo", a special kind of local "mandonismo" to its desegregation. We selected a case study: Chico Heráclio, a Coronel that spent 54 years as political boss. Since 1952, the Coronel begins to loose his influence. At least, we analized which reasons that make a kind of political domination unacceptable.
