Abstract

Limiting the object of this study by thinking of constructing a political knowledge from the daily practises culturally established by the rural workers, who are facing the conflict for land at the Fazenda Carvalho (Bananeiras-PB), wc intend to show the effect of the knowledge and power, configurated in the speech of these workers, while lighting for their permanence on the land. In order to construct this political knowledge, care was taken so that the effect of power which is defined tactically and stategically by the dominance of knowledge - on the land, the work done there, in short on rural life - and practises of power. Practises which demand a right on the land, a rupture in the relation owner-worker or better still a perception of how the workers lived in the past and their present situation, among other things. Practises described as speeches which are organised around the justification for the conflict of land. We did not try to show the political knowledge as a "manifestation of a political conscience" or as an "objective reality" limiting, thus, to the area of speech and power, that is, power and knowledge and how these workers live and what they expect in their fight against the owners and their reproduction as rural workers It is through these configurations, speeches and practises that the fight for land will be related to knowledge and power.
