Resumo:
Given the current extremely competitive scenario, resulting in most of the demand of the end
consumer, organizations must seek quality and speed in meeting the requirements input by
demand, efficiency and reliability in their production processes, as well as cost reduction.
Therefore, investing in continuous control improvements, aspiring to exceed customer
expectations is the way forward. Therefore, the objective of this work is to optimize the pulp
production process in a company in the interior of Paraíba. Therefore, this study followed the
following steps: collection of data on the weights of the pulps after filling, systematization and
analysis of data, identification of the problem and proposition of the solution. As a result of the
research, it was identified that the process is beyond the control and specifications of the
legislation, with a rate of 100% of samples not complying with the quality standard, resulting in
a monthly loss of around R$ 840.00. With the opportunity to change this scenario, an action plan
was developed with the following recommendations: use of a measuring cup to measure the
pulps and implementation of an inspection step in the process, right after filling, both of which
are of an emergency nature. At an opportune moment, also indicated in the action plan, the
purchase of a dosing machine, aiming to control the process, standardize the final products,
reduce costs and, consequently, guarantee the quality of the products/process.
