Resumo:
The constant restlessness of mathematics teachers because of the low income of the
students of Basic Education is cause for concern and, mainly, it has been a stimulus to search for new alternatives or teaching methodologies that favor the learning of mathematics. Based on two famous theories, the Ausubel Theory and the Van Hiele Model, this dissertation aims to contribute to the success of teaching-learning Geometry in Basic Education, especially in elementary education. In order to understand the ideas of this work well, a didactic proposal was developed, which was applied in the classroom. Finally, the result of this experience was documented.
