Resumo:
Production Engineering is responsible for maximizing the profitability of institutions in
any field of work through qualitative and quantitative methods in the management of
production processes by decreasing the organization's losses, increasing its
competitiveness, also with a positive effect. In this, the Production Engineer can work
in 10 areas and one of them is Organizational Engineering, in which Information
Management is a sub-area. In this context, the present work has as its objective the
analysis, development and application of usability tests in a Database Information
System called SIPPC (Information System of the Production Process of Carimbu)
produced for the association Carimbu that is specialized in the productive chain of
the umbu. The purpose of this research is descriptive; the approach is qualitative,
case study and bibliographic type; the work methods consist of interviews, field
research, study in the Information Management area and the use of software for the
production of diagrams in order to have as a result the construction of the Carimbu
Productive Process Information System – SIPPC. The analysis of the new system
was carried out and the UML – Unified Modeling Language diagrams were prepared
in order to show, in modeling form, the productive process of the Carimbu
association and obtain a vision of how the SIPPC Information System should work.
The Entities and Relationships Diagram was created, the data dictionary and the
system was developed through the creation of Database tables, forms (screens),
queries and reports in the Libreffice Base software. Finally, the Usability Tests of the
given system were carried out and then all the results were analyzed and
commented on like, for example, most participants (8 out of 15) or 53,3% have
previous experience with Database Information Systems and had some access
before. Among the users who did not have access before and neither previous
experience (7 out of 15) or 46,7%. In view of that. Therefore, the SIPPC ends up
being efficient and effective, being able to encompass all of Carimbu's production
data, and allows its storage and management.
